We are bicycle tour guides, world travellers, students, entrepreneurs, sports enthusiasts, storytellers, and most importantly, friends. We are people who have fallen in love with this city and we can't wait to show you why.
William, aka B.J. or Bill Jr. began life October of 1984 in San Jose, California. Growing up in the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, outdoor activities ensued tree forts, bike rides, sports and camping trips, thus inspiring him to continue this for a lifetime. After graduating from San Diego State University in 2008, he planned a 3 month travel vacation to visit his college roommates Robin Gerlach and Michael Cando which has now turned into a 3 year adventure in quite arguably the best city in South America. B.J. founded Biking BA in January, 2010.

Things he loves about Buenos Aires: Argentine Castellano, Yerba Mate, rooftop asados, green spaces, bike trails, Masa Critica, Bondiola Sandwiches, and socializing with people from all over the world.

With a keen eye for analysis, attention to detail, and financial sense ,Troy is a valuable addition to the Biking Buenos Aires Team. Possessing a unique and organic thought process, combined with a quick wit, he continues to make contributions, suggestions, and ideas that helps to foster the creative, positive, and humanitarian spirit that empowers the team at BikingBA. Knowing that something was missing from his life, knowing that there was more out there, Troy sold all his possessions, took a leap of faith, and jumped at the opportunity to join this company with his childhood friend, founder William Whittle. He holds a strong desire to make a profound, positive difference in people lives, shared with a passion for spirituality, love, and compassion. This move, this cause, this company is a way for him to expand his horizons, appreciate new cultures and experiences all while being around great people.

Things he loves about Buenos Aires: The parks, the sites, the energy are all very exciting and moving, something new to learn or see daily. Troy even feels he is somehow Argentine even though there is no proof to back up these feelings, because of his ability to relate with the locals, their customs, passion, and tastes. He loves meeting the exciting and interesting people from all over the world that inhabit BA.
Coming from a small, rural town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, Robin (Colo) rediscovered his childhood passion of bicycling in the urban domain. Since his travels in Europe in which he explored most cities by bike, he realized that the bicycle is hands down the only way to discover any new environment. After moving back to Buenos Aires a second time to meet up with his college amigo, Willie Whittle, to live the dream that is Biking BA, he realized this urban jungle is very ideal for others to explore by bike as well. Colo is a fan of meeting people from all walks of life, learning new languages (currently Portuguese), night riding to good musica, exercising, reading Spanish literature and writing .
What he loves about Buenos Aires?
The passionate porteños, the language, lunfardo, bondiola sandwiches, street fairs, live music, asados, terrazas, the chilli bomb at Puerta Roja, the endless nightlife, the emerging bike culture (masa critica), and the alfajores… muchissimos alfajores!
An enthusiastic guide by day and a dedicated graduate studentby night, Brett joined Biking Buenos Aires after experiencing the tour as a guest and realizing that there couldn’t possibly be a better way to spend her free afternoons. Joining us from the lovely Rocky Mountains of Colorado, this small town girl finds her nature fix in the Ecological Reserve while on her daily run. Accompanied by café con leche and medialunas, Brett likes to relax in the cafes of Palermo after a long night of dancing, and is frequently found wandering the weekend markets in search of unique treasures. Eager to learn more by constantly exploring her new home, Brett’s expanding local knowledge, along with an energetic yet pleasantly feminine touch, has been a welcomed addition to our team of well-trained guides.
